Most relocation services ask you to adapt to the Netherlands. I work the other way. The country, the city, the system, the home all reshape to fit your family, your standards, and the life you have already built somewhere else. So the Netherlands can truly feel like home.
I was born in Zambia and have lived in The Hague since the age of four. My family is split between the Netherlands, my sisters in Australia, and roots across Africa. I am a Black woman with native fluency in Dutch and English, working French, and a deep, lived understanding of African norms and traditions, including those of West Africa, formed through family, community, and a life spent moving across cultures.
That matters because the Dutch system reads people. Accent, surname, address, and skin all quietly shift how a request is received, how a viewing is offered, how a referral is made. My clients are not asking to be processed by that system. They are asking to be welcomed by it on their terms.
I know how to make that happen. Professionally, persistently, and fully within Dutch law. The result is a Netherlands that recognises the life you have already built and rearranges itself to receive it.
Three and a half years as Management Assistant for the Neurology Department and Specialist Training Programme at Haaglanden Medisch Centrum. Sole administrative lead across two clinical domains inside a politically sensitive specialist environment.
My remit spanned planning and scheduling, onboarding of rotating resident physicians, executive partnerships with the head of department and the training coordinator, internal communication and meeting agendas, and the running of the specialist training programme. Daily work moved across SAP, AFAS, and HiX inside a tightly regulated clinical environment, with full responsibility for the administrative continuity of two domains operating in parallel.
